Port of Brisbane – Maintenance Contract

Port of Brisbane is one of Australia’s fastest growing container ports and Queensland’s largest multi-cargo port. Located at the mouth of the Brisbane River, the port handles approximately $50 billion worth of cargo each year – equivalent to approximately 37 million tonnes. The port precinct houses a variety government and non-government entities largely associated with the logistics sector. The Port develops and maintains the precinct including infrastructure services.

Asset Services provides Port of Brisbane with planned preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance services across electrical (LV & HV), plumbing and fire services.

Key challenges of the maintenance contract include:

  • Working around porting and stevedore operations
  • Changing customs demarcation areas
  • Shore-based water hazards
  • Working on and around main transportation corridors

By providing short and long-term budgeting, asset renewals and upgrades, coordination of access, asset condition reporting and asset transitions, Asset Services:

  • Ensures that assets are maintained to maximise their economic value
  • Provides prompt and professional property management services
  • Provides maintenance of port and related facilities to enable future development opportunities
