CV was proud to attend two recent standout events – the UDIA National Awards for Excellence 2025 and the UQ Women in Engineering Breakfast.

The UDIA National Awards for Excellence brought together leaders from across the country to celebrate the projects and people shaping Australia’s urban development landscape. It was a great opportunity to recognise outstanding achievements in design, sustainability and community impact, and to connect with others who are shaping the future of our industry.

At the UQ Women in Engineering Breakfast, we were inspired by the next generation of engineers and the incredible women paving the way in a traditionally male-dominated field. The conversations were energising – focused on mentoring, representation and the future of engineering through a more inclusive lens.

Thank you to both UDIA and UQ for hosting such meaningful events that celebrate innovation, excellence and progress.

We’re thrilled to have Jack join the CV Industrial team as a Project Manager. He brings extensive experience across the Utilities, Water, Manufacturing and Resources sectors, and has worked with major clients including Seqwater, Rio Tinto and a range of government departments.

Jack brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing complex operations for both greenfield and brownfield projects. His expertise in delivering planned cutovers of live plant operations ensures seamless transitions with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

With a strong track record of successful project delivery, Jack excels in risk mitigation, safety and compliance, and driving operational efficiency. He’s also highly effective in leading cross-functional teams and developing tailored solutions that meet project objectives, while maintaining a focus on safety, innovation and quality.

We look forward to the impact Jack will make and are excited to have him on board as we continue delivering great outcomes together.

Safety is at the core of everything we do at CV, and it’s great to see this reflected in feedback from our clients and team members.

A recent Safety Audit by one of our critical infrastructure clients reinforced CV’s strong safety culture, with positive feedback from our team members about the level of support they receive from our management team when raising and addressing safety concerns.

A huge congratulations to Jomarra Finch for her incredible contribution as a panelist at the recent NAWIC Breaking Ground Business Lunch! As one of the 2024 NAWIC Award Winners, Jomarra shared her inspiring message about normalising women in trades and celebrating diversity – a powerful reminder of the impact representation and inclusion have in our industry.

Jomarra’s passion, resilience and leadership continue to pave the way for a more inclusive future. We’re beyond proud of her achievements, including her recent recognition as CSQ – Construction Skills Queensland Tradie of the Year – a testament to her skills, dedication and commitment to mentoring the next generation of female electricians.

Well done, Jomarra! Your voice is making a difference and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

CV is making strong progress on the Kirwan Police Precinct in Townsville, working alongside FKG Group to deliver this significant project. Designed to support modern policing, the precinct will bring together a state-of-the-art police station, a nation-leading police academy and specialist policing functions – all in one hub.

As part of this project, CV is delivering key services to enhance resilience, sustainability and support the evolving needs of law enforcement in North Queensland, including:

⚡ Electrical services

Communications infrastructure

Green energy solutions

UPS systems and battery backup

Dry fire services

Security and access control

Onsite, the ground floor rough-in is complete with Level 1 around 40% finished, permanent power is now live and fit-off is set to begin soon.

This is our second major project with FKG Group in Townsville, following the successful delivery of QAS Burdell. It’s great to see this critical infrastructure taking shape and we look forward to continuing our work with FKG Group to deliver a high-quality outcome.

CV Infrastructure Services is proud to have contributed to the award-winning Breakfast Creek / Yowoggera Bridge project, enhancing Brisbane’s connectivity and sustainability.

For this project, we delivered:

• Complete installation of new electrical reticulations.
• Two new switchboards to power lighting across pathways and park areas.
• A state-of-the-art CCTV system for enhanced safety.
• A new fibre link connecting Cameron Rocks to Newstead.
• People and bike counting systems to monitor usage and support active transport data.
• An upgraded intersection to improve traffic flow.

One of the standout features is the bridge’s vibrant feature lighting, which can change colours on the arch, adding a dynamic visual element. Additionally, we prioritised sustainability by implementing extra low voltage lighting, significantly reducing energy consumption.

The Breakfast Creek / Yowoggera Bridge has already become a vital link in Brisbane’s active transport network, recording over half a million trips in its first six months.

We are incredibly proud to share that this project was recognised as Project of the Year by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). This prestigious award highlights the exceptional teamwork, innovation and leadership that brought the project to life.
