Annual Apprentice Breakfasts

We recently hosted our annual Apprentice Breakfasts, bringing together our leadership team and nominees for the 2025 CV Apprentice of the Year Awards. These catch-ups were a fantastic opportunity to celebrate achievements, hear stories and share insights.

CV is committed to supporting the next generation of tradespeople. With more than 150 apprentices across the business, we’re investing in skills, growth and opportunities for the future.

We offer a wide range of apprenticeships at CV – spanning electrical, carpentry, plumbing, signwriting, digital print, sheet metal, fire technician, project management, data and telecommunications, HVAC and civil.

We’re excited to see our apprentices continue to grow and build their careers with CV!

Powering Dalrymple Bay Terminal

CV, through our specialist power solutions team Synchrotech, is proud to be delivering a standby diesel generator system for the new shiploader at Berth 1 of the Dalrymple Bay Terminal, 40km south of Mackay, Queensland.

Built for one of Australia’s most challenging coastal environments, the generator is housed in a custom 316 stainless steel weatherproof acoustic enclosure designed to withstand dusty, salt-laden, hot and humid conditions.

Following CV’s acquisition of Synchrotech, our combined expertise and national reach helped ensure every detail was right – verified through comprehensive factory acceptance testing to guarantee smooth installation and reliable performance from day one.

The new system will provide the terminal with reliable backup power to support operations well into the future.

Continuing Our Partnership with Brisbane Airport

We’re proud to share that CV will continue our long-standing partnership with Brisbane Airport, delivering facilities maintenance services for the next seven years.

This milestone reflects the strength of our 40+ year partnership and the value our teams bring every day in delivering:

  • Safe, reliable and high-quality maintenance across critical infrastructure – where every second counts
  • A trusted relationship underpinned by our 24/7 proactive and reactive maintenance model
  • Experienced and dedicated multi-trade Airport Precinct teams – Electrical, Fire Protection, HVAC, Plumbing and Building – keeping operations running smoothly every day

Through this partnership, we continue to deliver positive outcomes for Brisbane Airport and the wider community, including:

  • Resilience and peace of mind for airport operations and stakeholders
  • Consistency of service built on decades of experience in critical infrastructure
  • Opportunities to innovate, collaborate and deliver service excellence at Queensland’s most important transport gateway

We thank Brisbane Airport for their continued confidence in CV as we support their vision of Connecting the World and Creating the Future – we look forward to a strong future together.

Cloncurry Hospital Major Electrical Upgrade

We recently completed a major electrical upgrade at Cloncurry Hospital in Central Queensland – improving safety, compliance and system reliability across the facility.

The works included a new main switchboard, generator upgrade, SCADA/BMS integration, eight new distribution boards, compliance upgrades to AS 3003 and a new water treatment plant.

Delivered in a live hospital environment, the project was carefully planned to ensure continuity of operations throughout. Despite the challenges of remote delivery, extreme heat and limited resources, strong collaboration between our Townsville and Brisbane teams ensured a high-quality result. Well done, team!

Maroochydore Private Hospital Switch

CV recently supported the HV switching day to deliver base build power to the new Maroochydore Private Hospital, working in partnership with McNab.

Our team was on site before sunrise and stayed well past sunset – completing two HV joints, LV connections and critical switching to successfully energise the hospital.

Thanks to meticulous planning and tight coordination, the day ran seamlessly. The team received positive feedback on our safety measures and the smooth execution – a testament to the collaboration, skill and commitment of everyone involved.

With power now flowing, CV will continue delivering the power distribution and floor fit-outs ahead. We’re proud to be part of another high-performing partnership!

Gallagher Security Charity Golf Day for Bravehearts

CV was proud to be part of Gallagher Security’s recent Charity Golf Day at The Palms Golf Course in Sanctuary Cove. This incredible event marked Gallagher’s third annual fundraiser for Bravehearts – and it was a milestone achievement!

Together, more than 130 players, volunteers and supporters raised an outstanding $57,000, making it the largest fundraising event ever held by a Bravehearts partner in the organisation’s 25 year history.

These funds will make a real difference, helping Bravehearts deliver around 380 specialist counselling sessions for children affected by sexual abuse and provide personal safety education to over 4,750 children across Australia.

CV was honoured to support this important cause as the event’s Print Partner. A huge thank you to Gallagher Security for hosting such a meaningful day and for their ongoing commitment to Bravehearts’ vital work in our communities.

Powering Ahead at Halcyon Serrata

We’re powering ahead at Halcyon Serrata – Stockland’s premium Land Lease Community.

CV is proud to be delivering the complete design and construction scope for this project, including the power and communications infrastructure that will support 249 new homes within the gated estate. Recent milestones include the installation of the Main Switchboard (MSB) and completion of a major underground pit system that will house key service connections across the site.

We’re pleased to be partnering with Stockland to help bring essential services to a vibrant, connected community.

Suncorp Stadium Walk of Fame – A Tribute to QLD Greats

Since the grand opening, it’s been great to see so many fans enjoying the State of Origin Walk of Fame at Suncorp Stadium – a lasting tribute to the greats who’ve shaped Queensland’s Origin story.

Seeing it unveiled was a proud moment for our team, shared with some Origin legends. Just like the teamwork out on the field, the project kicked off with our Building team, passed firmly to our Electrical team and finished with a touchdown by Signage. Our Signage crew designed, fabricated and installed every sign in-house at our Hendra facility, delivering craftsmanship worthy of Queensland’s sporting heroes. From the fine graphic details to the precision installation on site, it was all about creating something built to stand the test of time.

Game 3 might not be at Suncorp tonight, but the spirit of Origin is alive and well. Next time you’re at the stadium, take a stroll through the Walk of Fame and check out our work up close.

Go the Maroons!
