CV recently hosted our annual 10 Year Club event at our Hendra head office. It was an incredible night and we were proud to celebrate our outstanding team members who have been with us for over 10 years!

This year we welcomed two new members into the 10 Year Club and we look forward to seeing many more team members reach this milestone in the years to come.

At CV, safety is our top priority and we’re thrilled to take part in Electrical Safety Week. This week we had the privilege of hearing from John Dejong from Master Electricians Australia who shared invaluable insights on Arc Flash safety with leaders from across our organisation.

We believe that continuous learning and safety go hand in hand, and partnering with Master Electricians Australia allows us to provide our team with the knowledge they need to stay safe on the job.

Let’s all make safety a priority – not only during Electrical Safety Week but every day. Together we can ensure a safer workplace for everyone in the industry!

We couldn’t be prouder of our Townsville team who are stepping up and making a difference in the construction industry! Recently, they donned their brand-new Trademutt shirts, designed to spark conversations about mental health, and underwent General Awareness Training (GAT) with Mates in Construction. This training provided the team with a deepened understanding of the mental health challenges in the construction industry and equipped them with practical tools to provide support to their teammates.

Two of our dedicated Townsville team members are taking it a step further by pursuing Connector training, empowering them to provide even more meaningful support to their peers during tough times. At CV we prioritise mental health and wellbeing, and by starting these conversations and investing in training, we’re spreading awareness and fostering a culture where our team feels encouraged to seek help and has access to the necessary avenues for support.

As part of our ongoing CV Life initiative, we are excited about our new partnership with CommBank! Our team is in for a treat with the incredible benefits including offers on banking products, discounts on retail products and services, and financial education on a range of topics to make our team even more financially savvy.

We celebrated the launch with a fantastic team lunch at our Hendra head office and were thrilled to have CommBank join us for the day! Our team had the opportunity to schedule one-on-one consultations with CommBank experts to receive personalised advice and explore cost-saving possibilities.

This partnership with CommBank is a testament to our commitment to providing the best resources to support our amazing team members!

CV welcomed Intuitive Training onsite at our Hendra head office to deliver the T0911 course (Introduction to Electrical Network Infrastructure for Authorised Persons) and annual refresher training to our Infrastructure Services team.

Our number one priority is ensuring the safety of our team while they carry out their vital work which is why we believe in providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to stay safe on site, especially when dealing with overhead and underground powerlines.

Through this comprehensive training, our team is now fully equipped to:

• Work safely near electrical lines
• Understand and adhere to safety codes
• Identify and manage potential risks
• Respond effectively to electrical incidents or accidents

With CSQ funding available, not only our team but tradespeople all across the state are able to access critical training such as this, amplifying safety practices throughout the industry.

CV’s Electrical Construction team is thrilled to announce that we are providing a scholarship opportunity for a student to study at the Sunshine Coast Technical Trade College. Congratulations to Alex Hamley for being awarded the CV Services Scholarship for 2023!

Alex is a dedicated year 11 student at Chancellor State College who is passionate about becoming a fully qualified electrical worker and working in the high voltage work space.

At CV, we are committed to developing the next generation of tradespeople and we are excited to see Alex thrive throughout his Certificate II Electrotechnology.
