Tennis Fundraiser

The CV team had a blast at the fundraising tennis match organised by FKG Group for Mates In Construction at the recently completed Oaky Bay Apartments.

Madilyn and Kiara not only aced the installation for the project, but also the best-dressed competition, taking the win with their vibrant shirts!

It’s inspiring to see our team making a “racket” for such a meaningful cause!

Sunshine Coast Toolbox Talk

CV’s Electrical Construction team kicking off the day with a picturesque Toolbox Talk. Turns out the real pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is our Sunshine Coast Housing team!

Charity Golf Day

CV’s Townsville team recently took part in the JMAC Constructions Charity Golf Day, a fantastic event that’s not only about perfecting our golf swings but, more importantly, about giving back to our community.

The event was dedicated to supporting Act for Kids, an organisation dedicated to making a positive impact to the lives of children who have faced neglect and abuse by providing essential support and resources to help them heal and thrive.

Thank you to our team members who took part and to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause!

Pinkenba Wharf Fire System Upgrade

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion and commissioning of a fire system upgrade at the Pinkenba Common User Berth for the Port of Brisbane. As the principal contractor on this project, CV’s Asset Services team delivered exceptional results that we’re truly proud of.

Our team showcased our multi-trade capability, bringing together Project Engineering, Project Management, Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire Services expertise to ensure the project’s success. This collaborative effort was instrumental in making this upgrade a reality.

Throughout the 18 month project, the CV team worked diligently to ensure the wharf remained fully operational, minimising disruptions and ensuring safety at all times.

2023 NAWIC & QMCA Trivia Event

Last week, CV had the privilege of sponsoring the 2023 NAWIC & Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) Trivia Event. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter and camaraderie – all in support of a wonderful cause!

This event was more than just a fun trivia night; it was an opportunity to support TIACS and the remarkable work they do in improving mental health and wellbeing within the construction industry.

Our sponsorship of this event underscores CV’s ongoing commitment to mental health initiatives. We recognise the importance of creating safe spaces for conversations around mental health, particularly in the construction industry.

A big thank you to NAWIC QLD and QMCA for hosting this meaningful event, and to everyone who attended. Your support is making a real difference!

Brisbane Metro Depot

CV’s People & Culture, and HSE teams recently visited our Asset Services Plumbing team at the ADCO Brisbane Metro Depot site. Spanning over 10 hectares in size, this impressive project will be one of Australia’s largest and most technologically advanced facilities of its kind.

As well as speaking about our CV Life team benefits initiative, our teams also took the opportunity to shed light on something close to everyone’s hearts – mental health awareness. Inviting Mates in Construction to join the conversation, they sparked important conversations about mental wellbeing in the workplace.

Ronald McDonald House

At CV, we’re passionate about giving back to our community and making a positive impact. Recently our team donned their aprons and joined forces with the crew at Stellar Recruitment to become Soup Angels at Ronald McDonald House.

Together, the team prepared nourishing meals for the families of sick and injured children who are staying at Ronald McDonald House. We couldn’t be prouder of our team for dedicating their time and effort to support this incredible initiative.

We’re already looking forward to our next opportunity to volunteer and contribute to the Ronald McDonald House mission!

R U OK? Day & Fly the Flag Day 2023

From the office to various work sites and all the way to the northernmost point of Queensland and Australia, we’ve been on quite the journey! CV was proud to stand alongside the Mates in Construction flag and actively participate in R U OK? Day.

The day is a powerful reminder that no matter where we are, we can always connect, support and ask those important questions.

CV is committed to fostering a culture of caring and compassion in an effort to do our part to improve mental health among workers in the construction industry. We are proud to celebrate both MATES Fly the Flag Day and R U OK? Day. Let’s keep the conversation going and support each other every day!
