Project Overview

CV delivered the electrical and lighting upgrade of the Paint Facility at Ross Island Barracks in Townsville. Spanning a 12-month delivery program, the project was undertaken to bring the existing facility in line with current electrical standards, with a particular focus on hazardous area compliance, operational reliability and workplace safety.

Operating within a highly regulated environment, the project required careful planning and execution to maintain continuity of operations while delivering extensive infrastructure upgrades. A critical component of the works involved a site-wide power shutdown to facilitate main switchboard upgrades, with essential facilities maintained throughout the 48-hour shutdown period using multiple temporary generator backup systems.
