Redbank Plains Shopping Precinct
The Redbank Plains Retail Precinct recently underwent an extensive refurbishment and expansion which included a new Coles, extended Woolworths and the addition of 50 retail tenancies. On site for over 12 months, the Energy Services team was contracted by FKG Group to deliver the electrical infrastructure for the upgrade of the development, with the inclusion of the new intersection traffic lights and signals. With up to 8 guys on site, the team delivered
- two 1000kv padmount transformers to power the roadside tenancies
- one substation to deliver power to the centre
- relocation of the overhead power 33kv / 11kv / LV, and
- traffic intersection including traffic lights, signals and power
The team worked closely with FKG to ensure the works were delivered within the tight construction timelines. Negotiating the scheduling around the client, subcontractors and the public was critical to ensure as minimal disruption to the centre as possible. With good resource management, the project was delivered to the highest quality, on time and in line with the budget.
