CV Services was contracted by the Port of Brisbane to complete work at the QBH Coal Wharf. The awarded scope of works was to inspect and report the life expectancy of the water mains supplying the wharf. The majority of the water mains were beneath the wharf which required strict monitoring of tides and shipping schedules.
The unique and changing nature of the environment, presented a number of challenges throughout the project.
Strict scheduling was required to observe tide times and allow functional work to be achieved. Organisation and coordination of the team was also crucial, with majority of the work completed on boats and elevated work platforms (EWP’s).
The job received practical completion in May 2015 and was delivered on time and to budget.
The team handled the diverse environment and unique challenges well whilst maintaining the highest safety standards. The tenants were extremely happy and great feedback was received from the Port of Brisbane.
