DVConnect is a registered not-for-profit charity that has provided state-wide specialist domestic violence crisis counselling, intervention, information, referrals, safety planning and pathways to safety, (emergency transport and accommodation) for almost 20 years. DVConnect’s purpose is to help Queenslanders find pathways to safety, away from domestic, family and sexual violence.
CV’s Electrical Construction team worked alongside DVConnect, Halcyon and Mirvac Residential to deliver Queensland’s first purpose-built domestic violence bridging accommodation. Electrical Construction General Manager and Project Managers volunteered their time to deliver the electrical works for the project. Named Bella’s Sanctuary, the facility now provides a safe haven for domestic violence victims on the Gold Coast.
The bridging accommodation residence was built collaboratively with our Electrical Construction team joining forces with 90 Queensland subcontractors and suppliers who donated to the not-for-profit organisation.
CV is incredibly proud to be a part of this life-changing project which accommodates Queensland women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
