BAC: Airport Wide Lighting Upgrade
Servicing over 21 million people every year, the Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has undergone extensive upgrades to adhere to demand whilst maintaining quality service.
The CV Services team was selected to be the principle contractor to complete the civil and electrical work on the BAC Airport Lighting Upgrade. The project covered three main areas including; the Logistics Apron, General Aviation Apron and the Domestic Terminal Apron.
Whilst undertaking the lighting upgrade, the team continually had to be in close proximity with airport operational areas. Interactions with the public and airport stakeholders required the team to maintain the highest level safety standards
Throughout the upgrade the team installed
- 12 x 15m poles
- over 5km of conduit and 8km of cabling
- 12 x 25m lighting towers
- 96 1000w floodlights
A team of 10 provided ongoing effort and strong worth ethic across the 11 months on the project.
