RTO Reference Group – Energy Event at CV

Yesterday, CV was proud to host the first RTO Reference Group – Energy Event for 2026, in partnership with Energy Skills Queensland.

We welcomed RTO leaders, trainers and industry partners to our Head Office at Hendra for a highly collaborative and solutions‑focused session on the future of energy training in Queensland.

The room was full of positive momentum as we explored the evolving needs of the energy sector and the important role industry‑RTO partnerships play in building a skilled, future‑ready workforce.

A huge thank you to our speakers:

  • Brian Godwin – Group Manager Trades Development & Compliance, CV Services Group
  • Felix Pirie – CEO, Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA)
  • Rian Kelso & Glenn English – Energy Skills Queensland

It was fantastic to also provide attendees with an on‑site look at our operations here at CV, including our signage manufacturing facility – thank you to everyone who joined the tour.

We appreciate everyone who attended and contributed to such a productive morning.

Prequalified Supplier with Local Buy

We’re proud to announce that CV Services Group is now a prequalified supplier with Local Buy, approved on the panel for Water, Sewerage and Stormwater Infrastructure (LB314).

This milestone recognises our expertise in delivering high-quality outcomes for local government and public sector clients across infrastructure, utilities and community facilities.

Local Buy prequalification enables councils to engage CV through a streamlined, compliant procurement process – making it easier to access our experienced teams and trusted solutions.

Planning upcoming works? Let’s talk about how we can support your next project.

National Apprenticeship Week

This week, we’re celebrating National Apprenticeship Week and recognising our apprentices who contribute every day across CV.

With over 150 apprentices currently across CV, developing the next generation of tradies is a big part of who we are. We’re proud to see where an apprenticeship at CV can lead, with many team members still with us today who started their journey as CV apprentices – including some of our senior leaders.

Watch the video below to hear directly from a few of our apprentices and get a snapshot of what an apprenticeship at CV looks like.

Throughout the week, we’re taking time to recognise our CV apprentices and share their stories across the business.
